Sex is better when the bedroom is more inviting. The more comfortable and sexy it is in there the better time you’ll have doing the horizontal mambo. It’s a simple fact and one that you could benefit from putting to use. So how do you sexy up your bedroom? Let’s talk about it.
New Sheets
Try a new set of sheets and make sure they feel super soft. Skin on skin contact is wonderful and if the rest of your skin is nestled against a soft set of high thread count sheets it’s even sexier. Also, when you wash them look for a simpler scent that gives off just a hint of sexy. Falling into bed, feeling the soft sheets, and being hit with a sexy smell is utterly arousing.
Get Rid of the TV
An Italian study of bedroom habits showed that having a television in the bedroom can cut your sexual activity by half. Incredible! The best thing you can do for good times in the bedroom, particularly in a relationship, is get rid of the TV. It lowers sexual activity because people tend to just turn it on and zone out, watching until they go to sleep instead of paying attention to each other, having an intimate chat, etc. Replace the TV with a mirror for some sexy fun.
Hide the Portable Devices
Nowadays people frequently bring their smartphones and tablets into bed with them. Browsing the internet, watching TV shows or movies, or playing games is fun but it distracts from the importance of having sex. Just like a TV, the portable devices need to be hidden. You can leave them in the living room or buy a nice box to store them in until you’re getting ready for work in the morning.
You Need Music
Spotify recently conducted a survey that included a question about sexy sounds and arousal. A majority of respondents said that they’re more turned on by sexy sounds (music) than they are touch. Thus it’s a necessity to have a music player of some sort in your bedroom. A player capable of using your portable device to stream something from Spotify, Pandora, etc, is a good idea.

Clear the Clutter
For long term couples, stuff tends to pile up in the bedroom. Kids toys, exercise equipment that never gets used, work papers, to do lists for the weekend, etc. The problem is those items all cause a little bit of stress, which tends to send the sex drive through the floor. The solution is to keep all of it out of the bedroom. Keep your papers in an office or filed away. Keep the equipment in a closest and the toys in another room.
Dump the Family Photos
It’s a small thing and it’s definitely a subconscious thing, but photos of your extended family members and even your kids can be detrimental to sex. In short, you don’t want them watching you while you’re doing it and the pictures are a subtle way of making that happen. There are other places in the house to display pictures so use them for it. Fill your bedroom with pictures of the two of you or artwork.
Change the Lighting
Mood lighting is a thing and it works. If you want your bedroom to be a sexy place then you need to give it sexy lighting. This can usually be accomplished via light fixtures. Bright lights aren’t great so make sure you use lower wattage bulbs. Plus, you could try using pink bulbs, which offer a more flattering light and make everyone feel sexier. Fluorescent bulbs are a disaster in that department so avoid them at all costs.
